Kicker motor?

I just traded a trailor that came with a boat and 85 hp rude just like my other one, that I had only paid 300 for every thing. Anyway I traded the trailor for 100 bucks and a 6 hp johnson. I was thinking about using the liitle johnson as a kicker motor. i have a 1977 ranger fish and play with a 85 hp rude on it. What is the procedure for putting on a kicker motor? Can it be done with out spending much money?

Is the transom wide enough to hold it in addition to the main motor?
