kill switch pulled, now engine won't start

I'm new to boating. I pulled the kill switch on a suzuki 4 stroke 60 hp. Now it won't turn over. It almost does,and we have tried everthing we know of. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Put the kill switch back in. Make sure the little toggle switch is flipped back up if it's that kind of kill switch.
