Interesting. I would have thought that the small town friends would have stayed together a lot longer.

I graduated in a class of almost 2000 people. I met my best friend 39 years ago at the age of 15. I'd say that half of the people I associate with a continuing basis I've known for at least 40 years. I had a beer the other night with the guy who lived behind us as a child. I met him 44 years ago in March.

I still have CONTACT with a lot of my friends from High School ... run into them on the street, do business with them, etc. But they are not my close friends and the ones you do things with "after hours." Many of my close friends have been friends for 30 plus years, and have been friends from high school and elementary school time, but they were not my classmates or school friends, they were friends from church or the lake (water skiing, fishing, etc.), or hunting, friends from shared interests, not classes.

Thanks guys for replying. now why couldnt all you live in my town and have a boat club or something i deff appreciate everything at least i know i got friends on here lol.. i didn't want to waste my time thinking about it all weekend.. but i deff got a lot of good advice.. im actually looking at joining a soccer rec league i figured stay in shape plus meet new friends.

Department of Defense....That's a form you fill for the military. I joined the USAF and I got "out of shape"

One of the best thing I ever did.

I met an iboat'er recently and he has the same thoughts about boaters in general as I do. We are a band of "brothers" that are willing to give as well as accept.

Oh.......... well that is the Enlistment Form that is filled out prior to the physical at your local MEPS I understand it is all computerized now too!
