Hi guys,

first of all, please excuse my english (i'm french speaking). I want to ask you something, cause i know some of you see a lot of different engines.

It's not a rush, cause i don't have any problem with it, but i just want to know if there's some known problems or reliability issues with my engine. It's a 1993 Merc 60hp 3 cyl. on wich i do the regular basic maintenance (decarb, change the plugs and l/u oil once a year and the impeller every two years. had also replaced the starter solenoid, the l/u seals, do a complete overhaul of the tilt/trim unit and of the carbs, also replaced the t-stat, is that enough?
).

I've heard of some switchboxes failure ($$$), any other common problems? In the other hand, the oil injection system seems to be very reliable.

Thanks.
Steve

(3 years ago, i don't knew nothing about outbards mech, now, thanks to this board and some helpful members, i love to play with my engine, as long as the costs stay reasonnables. So, again, thanks to JB, Laddies, rodbolt, AMD, KClost, Dhadley, WBW and all those who helped me and post so helpful information.)
