So you have one wire ALT?

OK, 1 wire, then your good and don't need the others

Should the wire from the ALT to the battery be orange? Are the shift interrupt wires ok black or should they be a different color? Do I need any purple/red wires?

ALT wire only needs to be orange if you want to keep the colors correct. Red is fine

The shift interrupt are black. When shifting the switch grounds the - side of the coil to cause a mis fire

Don't know your luck with one wires, but I bought a 100 amp one and used it half a season, then removed. It still sitting on the shelf from boiling my bats

Well, its what came with the boat. Ill guess Ill keep an eye on them
