Labor Day Weekend plans?

We're heading to Lake Mead in a couple of hours. Wish me luck with the flipped up traffic, the District decided that the kids needed to start school yesterday (instead of this coming Tueday, like every year for the last 50 or so) so we have to pick them up at school and hit the highway . . . :|

Ill be working aroud the house tomorrow but Sunday and Monday were off to a lake just north of here for some fun in the sun.

Don't tell Kagee, but it is supposed to be in the 80's here and a 40% chance of rain Saturday morning. I already have the camper out there and the family and I will be heading out in a couples hours with the boat! Put my smart tabs on last night and I am anxious to see how they do! It is going to feel cold compared to the 107 degree temps we have been having!!

Everybody be safe and watch out for the drunk and idiotic!!!

Going to Glendo, WY for some walleye fishing on Saturday, then being a bum the rest of the weekend.

Hang a mirrored sliding closet door.

Clean the boat(in the garage).

Hope the Monday forecast is right(rain Saturday and Sunday) but sunny Monday.

There would have been driveway sealcoating but the rain killed that one.

Let's all enjoy the time off from work.

Gonna drop the boat in the water tomorrow morning at one of my auxiliary launching locations to avoid all of the holiday weekenders at the usual public launches.

My good friend is arriving from Nashville tonight (in an hour). Tomorrow we're taking the boat to one of my favorite dockside restaurants. Then some afternoon cruising. Tomorrow night is a multi-birthday/ labor-day cookout/ beer drinking fest. My neighbor has been experimenting all summer with his new smoker and has become quite the master of the smoked pork butt. I trade remodeling assistance for smoked meats; it has worked out well so far! Tomorrow night will have 6 pork butts, 24 jalepeno deer sausages, and a smoked turkey!

Sunday has been reserved for fishing (spear and rod). Monday we are cruising the boat to Sarasota to meet up with another friend from Nashville; doing some skiing and wakeboarding there. Tuesday...Bush Gardens where we'll sample beer and ride roller coasters. Wednesday is another fishing/ boating day, Thursday it's off to Boston.

Did I mention smoked pork butts tomorrow night?

Try to finish boat restoration so maybe it will be ready next weekend. Besides, I would have to be insane to take a recently restored boat out for the first time on a holiday.
