I have a 62 lark mod# 35551m I want to omit the water choke system. I had a Jonny of this vintage & same system and I preferred the manual choke. the 2 nipples in the photos can I run a jumper hose connecting both together, or should I plug both of them with a short piece of hose/bolt/clamp or is one way needed/better than the other? Also does anyone know of a good rattle can paint that get's close, this is not a restore just protection/touch up. thanks

You could go to your local NAPA dealer and get plugs to replace those elbow fittings.

do the plugs just pull out or are they threaded? will running a jumper hose between the 2 hurt anything? I am new to the whole twin water tube thing, I'm just looking for a good way to bypass the water choke without hurting anything. thanks

The nipples are threaded in. Just go to a hardware store and purchase a couple of 1/8" NPT pipe plugs. Won't hurt a darn thing.

Actually, just leaving the hot water choke in place with the hoses attached is the same thing as using a jumper hose. Water goes in one fitting of the choke housing and out the other one. You can always manually choke it. That is what 95% of the owners did even when the motors were new because the hot water chokes never worked well.

Thanks' Thats what I did with my 60 super sea horse 40, but On this one I had to put brushes in the starter & a carb kit so I'm wanting to just bypass the whole water choke, to neat'n things up a bit. I want to clean the power head a little & paint the ruff spots. seems to be a good runner tho, Now I need something to put it on.
