I have a 1987 Chris craft scorpion , 350 alpha I outdrive. A little while ago I noticed a leak, looking closer the water was coming through a hole in the casting of the sterndrive mounting plate just above the driveshaft. Has someone tempered with my boat, should there be a hose here. Thanks in advance

Re: leaking outdrive

If you're looking at it from Inside the Boat,........

Your Bellows is Leaking,+ that's allowing it to vent into the boat from that hole......

Re: leaking outdrive

When there is water in the bellows, then you have water in your drive. Did you check the gear lube? you should have changed it. If not you are going to have water on bearings and gears in your drive all winter. NOT a good idea, unless you like rebuilding drives.

Obviously, you didn't Winterize your engine and drive, probably just drained the water and shrink wrapped it.
You might want to think about pulling the drive NOW and don't wait for spring.
