So gluvit question.

Label says 25 to 35 sq ft but I'm not coating an entire surface solid but am covering all rivets using a china brush plus a 'deep pour' in the bow section.

Is my quart enough or should I go ahead and order up a second? Is a few days ship time so want to be prepared.

For cleaning/prepping the metal for the gluvit, all I can find is stainless brushes for my drill or angle grinder. Will steel residue be cause for corrosion worry on the aluminum?

Stainless should be fine. A wipe with a scotch bright pad and acetone for the final wipe down would be good to.

Oh, I do some live edge stuff I'll have to try that. Draw knife is good but this will finish and not cut in.

Hear me out on this...

With the mystery solved of water pusing its way thru the keel drain hole what if I was able to make the trailing edge of the hole higher than the leading edge, thus eliminating the ability to push into hole and actually creating a venturi effect? Still can drain for freeze protection.

Similar to making a pcv pole garden. Would not use heat.

That would likely help but hopefully you won’t have any water to deal with.
As for the garden I love this stuff. My daughter and her BFF made one similar for their high school since fair and the water was filtered through a large fish tank. The fish thrived from plant live and the plants thrived from fish live. It was a win win and they took 2nd place.
Seems like yesterday but she will graduate college in a week. Time flys
