leavens brothers mariner whats the hp rating?

i have a leavens brothers mariner fiberglass 14ft6 long and 64 inches wide at the transom. i cant read the plate the only thing visible is the name. from what i found out it was made in toronto canada and i saw one for sale it was a 1971 model. so im assuming mine is late 60s or early 70s. im looking to buy a 50hp merc late 70s. is it too much for this boat? if so what would the maximum be for this boat?

Most 14' or 15' runabouts of that era were rated for 70 or 75 hp. The open bench style fiberglass boats were usually 40 hp.
