While I was hooking up my new LED spreader lights I reversed the polarity on one for a split second, now it does't work.
What did I screw up ? Is it worth fixing ?
Thanks !

Re: LED spreader light

The light did work when I first got it , hooked up to the battery. But when installing it I reversed the polarity ( no smoke ) but now this light does not work !
Thanks.

Bummer!

For the cost of 3? Reverse Polarity Diode, the manufacturer could have prevented the destruction. :blue:

Re: LED spreader light

Take it back and say.........."WTF?" Nooooooooo, J/K, that would be wrong. But dang, some of those aren't cheap!!

No smoke is a good thing believe it or not, Soooo.....

Open'er up, take us some pic's(not a camera phone plz if ya can help it), we can fix it here. The LED's(the major major cost of this thing) have to be good still......you reversed polarity on diodes for crap sakes!! Probably just popped a fuseable limiting resistor or opened a cheap copper trace, Ya got a meter? Solder iron?
