Left or Right Bow Mount? MK V2

Just removed my old Evinrude trolling motor that was mounted on the bow, port side of the boat.
I have just ordered a minn kota V2 55 to replace it, and was wondering since I am right handed, if mounting the new motor on the right side of the boat would be a problem? It seems that if I fish shoreline, the shore is usually on my port side and a right side mounted trolling motor would be out of the way of fighting or landing fish.

Only you can determine what works for you. What happens if the fish gets on the other side of the boat with the motor mounted on that side. Same problem -- not???? Minnkotas have a pretty small footprint and if it gets in your way, you need a longer rod.
