Re: Lending stuff

This is funny because we just got our new telephone book thrown on our front yard just last week. I picked it up and walked it straight over to the trash barrel.

Who uses phones books anymore!???

Phone books are great for impressing people at parties. Especially the big thick ones. (Phone books, not people although sometimes there isn't much of a difference, but I digress)
Learn the trick to tearing them in half- then show a bunch of your friends.
Then give them another book and watch them try figure it out.

A stack of phone books makes a perfect pellet or BB trap.

A phone book?

They just keep showing up. Somebody make it stop!!!!

Those things are like trying to get rid of nuclear waste. I can't burn anything here and the city recycling won't take them. I haven't opened one in ten years.

I keep two of them. They are great for address's(spelling?) and to find more than one business, for example, how many hardware stores are there in town? I could google it but around here "mom and pop" shops aren't all on the internet and prolly don't wanna be...lol. But I will guarentee they are in the phone book.

If they are in the phonebook, they are on the internet ;)

I never LEND anything. If I can afford to I'll give it to you; if I get it back......bonus!

Now that I'm an old man, I can't see all those names and phone numbers in the phone book. The print is too small. On the other hand, I just speak into my iPhone and PRESTO!...It gives me the phone number that I'm looking for at no extra charge. It even dials the number for me.
