Re: let the fun begin just bought a 70 super sport
Thanks erwinner, I'm not totally sure what I am going to do with the interior, I found a post on here that I think I might try and mimic.

I have a tube bender, but since mine started out with two side consoles, I don't have the center console to work around, so my thoughts are to make my tube frame the frame of my console and then sheet it with aluminium. I'm also considering making it so that I can take the top portion of the T-Top off and have hoops that you could then place between the tubes to keep it structurally sound, as well as give you grab rails as you walk by the center console. I'd like this so I can fly fish off the bow and not be worried about the T-Top. I've got it roughed out in my head, but I need to get it drawn out and get some measurements figured out.
I want a casting platform at the bow, with storage in the floor, and a leaning post for a drivers seat that I can store a small marine cooler under and have rocket launchers fastened to the back of it for rods. Then three post mounts along the back for seats, one on either side and one in the middle. I might have storage under the center console for tackle, but for sure I'd like room for my starting and trolling battery under the console. The floor will be 3/4 ply encapsulated in resin or I'm thinking I might go with one of the poly\rubber non-slip two part paint kits. As for the interior lighting I plan on using the small automotive LED accent lights that are out, they seem to have every color under the rainbow and they're pretty inexpensive. I have the NAV lights from the boat still so I plan on reusing them, because they're pretty cool looking, as well as the old spot light, I'll figure out some place to mount it, once I get all the guts redone, it was a mess, but the glass is still good so it's going back on some how.
Electronic wise I don't plan on having anything but a depth gauge in the dash and a battery monitor which I can switch between the two batteries. I'll have a bow mounted trolling motor and fish finder and that's it.
All in all it should be pretty bare bones, but functional. or at least that is the hope. I have until March to figure it all out, I want to be done with it by then so I can take it with me to Florida for our spring break.
