I have a Weber Smokey Mountain. It's similar in function to a BGE. Although a very good smoker and BBQ contests are won with them, they're not the Cadillac that BGE is. But they are lighter and more portable.
Smoked a whole pork loin yesterday - sliced and froze it. Day before, I smoked about 20 lbs. pork butt. Pulled, vacuum packed and froze. I don't know if I could control temp down to 150* but I know I can down to 200*.
