I live work and play on Long Island, NY. It has struck me in the past that Snow Removal on the Long Island Expressway (LIE) is amazing in that there appears to be very little snow remaining on the right shoulder and almost none on the left divider/shoulder. This was a substantial snow storm, where and how did they get rid of all that snow. I can't even imaging trucking away that volume of snow, I don't think that is possible within the time frame of the clean-up. Do they use chemicals to remove the snow?
If you know, please respond because I would like to know.
On all other roads that I've travelled, I can see the piles of snow that was removed from the surface.
Thanks,
Nick
