I was born and grew up in the West Texas Desert. Joined the Military in 1986 and never thought I would be back. Pappy told me I would. and I just laughed at him.

36 years later, i am going home for good. The Admiral has accepted a job, we are buying a house 2 blocks from Pappy's and Here we are again.

With Pappy and Nana both in their upper 80's and still having fun, we decided to go home to help them and still enjoy their company while we can.

Amazing how smart my parents were the older i get.

Now to be able to convince him to allow me to get my tattoo I have been wanting and also to allow me to go skydiving.

I promised him I wouldnt get a tattoo, jump out of a perfectly good airplane, or get on a boat that sinks on purpose. I have kept all those promises and Now want to get a tattoo to celebrate my years of service.

I left my hometown, came back 20 years later. No regrets. Getting out gives you life experience you won't get otherwise. Welcome home where ever that is….

I think it's almost the same story like my uncle has. But he was completely ok with that, he always says that changes can make us stronger, which is true for sure.

Congrats on a great decision Harito. Dorothy said "There's no place like home." With Mom and Dad both going within a 7 month period last year I have no reason to go home, Hamilton Ontario Canada. I don't recognize the place with all the gun violence. I will never go home. Home to me now is in Western NY where Mom grew up. I have plenty of loved ones still there. I could sell our place in Ontario Canada and buy 4 places there and a place down south, Texas or Arizona ahead of Florida actually. I have dual citizenship but my wife doesn't. I might miss here.

Some people simply want to believe in miracles or in some mystic during their boring life. It's like I've read 555 meaning number article few days ago, where author explained some relations between people's reactions and numbers and how we can adjust our behavior to become more successful in every situation.

Heinz, we are in San Angelo now. Moved into our new home two days ago and absolutely love it here. Glad i left, saw the world, but I am here to retire now, take care of the parents, and enjoy the time they have left.
