Anybody know why they changed the design on the Lightwin transom mount and mid section? Seems like it changed in either 62 or 63. Went from a double clamp to a single clamp. The midsection is much heftier looking on the newer as well. The exhaust relief/water return spray on the leg comes out the back on the older version as opposed to the eight holes on the front of the newer design. I had a 67 (newer design) and now have a 61 (older design). I just don't see any benefits of the newer design and was just curious why they changed it ???
