Link and sync????

What exactly is a lync and sync I see alot of posts about it??? how do you do it?? 75 merc 500 is it the linkage near the throttle cable??? thanks

To put it simply, it is a prcedure in which you adjust the timing and linkage to engage when they are suppose to. You really need a manual to be sure you do it right.
