Have an 1982 Johnson 25hp tiller. I have owned the boat and motor for going on two seasons now. I use the boat about twice a week. I get a small amount of water in the lower unit oil. I change the LU in it every couple months. Tried putting new oil and filler plug gaskets when I did the last oil change, but still gets water in the LU. My question is, should I really worry about and try and pressure test the LU and fix the problem or will I be just fine with changing the LU oil frequently and not worry?

I get half a shot glass of water out during the LU oil change, so about 4 tsp.

Not to mention that every time you go out you are putting oil in the waterways.
