i've been taking on water in my 2000 smokercraft stinger. i just bought the boat a couple weeks ago, the live well pump does not work but i think i'm taking on water thru the holes in the outside of the boat that feeds the live well. are there supposed to be lines connecting thoses holes to the live well. i can look from inside the live well and see outside the boat. no water in the bilge area but soaking up from the bottom. running the builge pump helps.

Re: live well

Yes, there should be a hose that runs from the through-hull fitting to your pump and the livewell. Some boats have the livewell pump mounted directly through that hole. Stick a bilge plug in that hole and snug it down. See if that fixes your leak until you can get the livewell hooked-up correctly.

Re: live well

Welcome to iboats jkm.

I'm a bit confused. You say there is no water in the bilge, but that running the bilge pump helps?

Your boat has a transom drain with plug, and should have another thru hull fitting next to it. This is the livewell water inlet.
The thru hull on the side of the boat, is the livewell outlet, or overflow.

Yes the inlet, outlet, and the thru hull fittings should be plumbed with a pvc pipe.
