Having a hell of a hard time getting my new 9 ft. Zodiac inflatable with 15hp outboard onto my hand trailer. The trailer has huge inflated tires that roll well on the sand. But they float in the water and so I can't get them to go underneath the boat. I can't just slide the boat right up onto it. Anyone know an easier way to do this? Or maybe direct me to a video? Thanks very much!!

Welcome aboard.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is hand trailer?

GA, its a hand cart with inflatable wheels intended to launch inflatables and jet skis on the sand.

Thanks. I had to get my neighbor people to help me pick the stern up and put it on the trailer because with the boat and the engine together, it weighs about 250. Actually we pushed the trailer under it more than we were able to pick the boat up over it. 115 lbs for the engine alone. Trying to figure out how I could do it alone or just with my wife. Anyone have an idea?

Maybe a photo would help us brainstorm.

Is there no way to put a winch on the trailer?

I suppose you don't want to pull the boat from the bow. Hmmmm ?
How about run the strap under the boat to the stern, attach to the motor leg.
Guide the front of boat with your arms to keep it strait while winching ?

Wonder if there is anything similar to this 55lb wheel weight for lawn tractors available for the "hand trailers"...

Hi
I've seen this on a larger scale with twin axle aluminium trailers. They occasionally float when put in the water. However...they do eventually sink when the tubes eventually fill. Is there anyway your hand trailer could do the same ? Even if you need to drill some holes ?
Just a thought.
