I have a 1985 merc 115 in-line 6 . This year I replaced my lower unit because it cracked over the winter. I do not know if this has anything to do with my problem. I took out my boat this year started it it went into reverse find when I went forward it would get to 1200 RPMs bog down and die. I could start it back up and the same thing. Took it home removed all the gas replaced with new put two cans of sea foam ran for an hour. let it set for 1 day ran it for another hour reved it up it i let it get to about 3000rpms. Did then last step once more. I took the boat out and the same thing happened. I cleaned the carbs no difference. I took it to a mechanic he rebuilt the cabs now it will get to about 1500 rpms still dies. Anybody have any Ideas.
