I have 1988 14hp spl (Johnson) outboard. It measures 19 inches from the saddle to the ventilation plate. Now I know these motors were assembled in Hong Kong and therefore a little quirky in their makeup. The motor came with the owners manual and shows a long shaft in the pictures. There is definately an extra length shown in the pictures, indicating a long (longer) leg motor than mine. My question is this; is mine some type of medium long shaft or a true long shaft? Thanks for any and all input!
