Are those tires larger than stock?? Would larger than stock tires make it feel less powerful? I would think it would but I don't have any experience with this.

Anyways.... That truck looks sweet!! Congratulations.

Yes, they are a bit larger, 32.5" instead of 31". Yes that will also make it feel less powerful, but not that much. Also the new truck has 4.10 gears while my old one had 3.5 gears with 33" tires, so all in all, the newer truck should be better geared than my old one.

Bambi and his cousin bimbi got the crap knocked out of them last week by my car. I sped up, instead of them hitting the front of my car they ran into the side and got the deerpiss knocked out of them when there head met my passanger mirror. Suprisingly this was not nearly as scary as the airborne matress I encountered on the highway 3 weeks ago. Now that really scared me.

The thing went airborn like a kite, I slowed down...then sped up thinking it was going to float a little more...then slowed down and moved right next to the concrete barrier...it landed right in front of my front right tire and I drove over it...but the thought of it going down anyother way really shook me up for some reason. The deer didnt even faze me compared to this mattress fiasco.

Glad to here you are fine. I wish I lived where the salt don't shine in the winter. MNDOT just destroys our vehicles with salted roads.

Im no expert,but i think you had alot more bottom end w the mild 400.Windsors are great motors also,IMO.

Insurance guy had nothing to do with it. I didn't have comp on anything, and I didn't cause any damage to anyone else.

No doubt about it, the 400 is a more powerful engine down low, especially with the granny gear transmission.

Sorry to hear/see about your accident, but i would of run over Bambi and saved my ute and boat, sorry but in Australia insurance dictates you should not avoid animals.

Sorry to see this. Hope no one was injured. I can SOLVE you bambi problem. Having lived in Pennsylvania with a massive deer population you must learn run over bambi !!!!! It will be much cheaper to pull the speed beef off the road then what you have now.

I had a coon run out in from of me one night, it was raining and I was towing the boat home at 65mph. All I did was let off the gas waited for the thud, felt a slight jerk in the wheel. I know its not a deer but swerving for any anamal can cause a acident.

I hit the brakes to avoid Bambi, his sister and mother. Back brakes locked up and boat pushed the back end around until I hit the ditch, then the whole thing flipped. Truck is totaled, but the boat and trailer are salvageable (bent axle on trailer, broken windshield and motor cowl on boat.) Rescue accidentally fired up the engine when they turned the key to tilt the engine up after they flipped the boat over.

Dude just smoke bambi next time.. That old Ford woulda taken em out no prob.. Might of been out a radiator and a grill.. Being a ford u coulda limped home with 5 gallons of water.. Tearing up your tub... Bet that broke your heart
