Re: Looking at a 1994 Sea Ray 200 Signature Bowrider.....
We own the same boat though it has not had a motor in a few years. (Summers are with the deckboat so it has not been a priority)
It is a smaller version of Frisco's boat so I followed that resto thread pretty closely. I can see a similar project in my future since the boat, while covered well, has been parked for a while.
I am pretty sure if I replace floors, I better have a sound reason that stringers and new foam were not needed. If I did the floor and transom to sell my SeaRay, I would provide photos, video, and a survey to show the prospective owner that the damage stopped at the floor and transom. As an owner of the same model you are looking at, I am pretty skeptical that the damage was limited to the floor and transom.
One thing I have replaced on our BR200 is the back wall of the cockpit area. Why SeaRay used poorly protected wood there in an area where water accumulates is beyond me. I cut a replacement and had it Rhino lined.
I suspect that my project will look more like Frisco's.
(Or Jay may wake up to smaller version of his Ray parked in his driveway)
