End of season coming so they want to move it (supposedly).

Any warnings?

This is a great deal right?

MSRP out the door is 53K.

Should I be looking at another boat?

I have three kids, 13, 10 and 5 and really want a deck boat.

Max on trailer should be 22' 6".

Sounds like a great deal, and the Sundecks hold their value very well. I ended up getting a Chaparral 204 because I couldn't dind a Sundeck in my price range!

My suggestion, get what you really want. The layout on that boat is going to be very cramped for 5 soon to be grown people. I can guarantee you are going to want more room. Get a deck boat even if you have to back up a couple of years. Mine may be old, but it is in great condition, and I will never run out of deck space. Best of all, I was able to pay for it and still enjoy taking it to the river. It rides great too.

Im confused by your response. You're saying that model will be too cramped but then you say get a deck boat. It is a deck boat and there is more room in the bow then a traditional bowrider. What is the make and model of your deckboat.

Never having been a boat owner, i like the idea of owning a Sea Ray because I could dump it in 1 week if I didn't like boating.

What exactly makes you think you could go out, buy a $40k boat and "dump it in a week" if you wanted to? You're going to take a big loss doing that no matter who the manufacturer of the boat is. Especially in this market.

Where did those pictures come from? I only ask because that isn't any 2012 Sea Ray that I know of.

It's a Bayliner Rendezvous.

Guys, I wasn't inferring my boat was a 2012 Sea Ray:confused:. I don't know where that idea came from. It is a Bayliner Rendezvous, and it does have a few problems. I bought it used, and it is 20 years old. But, it has a great layout and rides nice.
When the OP stated he had 3 kids, all growing larger every year, my recommendation was to look at something a few years older but with more deck space. I viewed the pictures on the OP's choice and it is nothing but a glorified bow rider. I have seen these late model so called "deck boats" and they are evolving right back into bowriders. Fine if that is what you want. Definitely not what I would want to spend 40 K on.
