hello all i have been looking for a used baja in the 23-36ft range.the baja`s seem to be a bit pricey over some of the other brands.are they realy worth the extra coin?i here they handle rough water realy well so thats one of the reasons i was looking at them.also like the style and performance.what other boats would you guys recomend that would handle and performe like a baja?

I am sure you have heard it time and time again that, "you get what you pay for." Baja's for what reason seem to bring more money. It is kind of like SeaRay and Boston Whaler. I am sure there are other boats out there that will offer the same features for less, but people are willing to pay more. Keep in mind that what you buy today may retain more of its value when you decide to sell or trade it in the future.

Believe it or not, in the world of "go-fasts", Baja is definitely "lower tier", compared to Scarab, Fountain, Formula, etc. Perhaps you are comparing Baja with with more conventional sport boats, like a Four Winns or a Regal.

Baja's were built to be driven offshore hard, at a higher rate of speed, and thus are built better, stronger laminates, more reinforcement at critical points.

Apples to apples...

I am looking at a formula also but wanted to make sure that they would handle 3-4 foot chop like a baja and still have good speed
