I am looking for a wiring diagram for a 1997 Bayliner Trophy 20' walk around. I need to re-wire the live-well, bilge pump and float. Can anyone please help?
My real problem is my Dad and my uncle tried to help and now everyting is screwed up.

Off the bilge I have a Black and Brown wire.
Off the Bilge Float I have 2 black wires
Off the live well pump I have a Brown and black wire.

Re: Looking for a Wiring Diagram...

Live well pump: Black is ground; Brown is positive. Somewhere there's a wire coming from the switch labelled "Live Well Pump" or something like that. That wire connects to the brown lead. The black lead connects to any ground. Remember to use marine connectors. The bilge pump: again, black is ground; brown is positive. connect the black to any good ground. Connect the brown to either of the leads coming from the float switch. You should have 2 wires coming from the switch labeled "Bilge pump." The reason for 2 wires is that, hopefully, you have a 3-way switch so you can run the bilge pump manually when you need/want to or you can leave it on, controlled by the float switch. Your dash switch may say "Manual' and "Automatic". Put it on manual. Find which lead coming from the switch is now live. Connect that lead to the connection of the float switch lead and the bilge pump lead that you made before. Your pump should now work manually. Throw the dash switch to "Automatic". Connect the other wire from the switch to the loose, black wire from the float switch. Your pump should now work when the arm of the float switch is lifted. By the way, if none of the leads have power, check your fuses. You may have blown one or two trying to connect the wires. Good luck and safe boating. Hy
