I am a new user to this forum.. Just picked up an old 40HP Evinrude. Plate shows model: 40352D and S/N: C388400. Can anyone tell me the year of this motor..?
I just picked up that same motor last week. Thought the oil would be 50:1 but it turns out that the ratio would be 24:1. Thought this might help. This info was on the inside of the door on the hood. TWC-3 outboard oil, Champion plugs J4C gapped at .030, points gapped at .020.<br /><br />Also welcome to iboats.
