Well then, I guess 2-stroke smoke isn't much of a concern. That being said, I love my '76 6hp for trolling. It'll troll snail-like-slow if you want it to, something I can't really say about my 15 or 9.5.

Yeah, I've got too many kickers for my own good right now.

I also have a 40 hp. motor on my boat. It is way to fast for my style of trolling. So I use a 2 cylinder 1991 4 hp. Evinrude Deluxe. The last year they produced the Deluxe was 1995. If you can find those JohnnyRudes, I also think there the best. Something to keep a lookout for.

Like posted above the Deluxe is a full feature motor, with F.N.R. gear shift. The motor weighs 49 lbs. I have a 25 hp. JohnnyRude that weighs 78 lbs. So a down side could be the weight, if you have weight issues. It has plenty of power for me. I run it less than half throttle most of the time.
