Just wondering, wife likes these new Air Deep Fryers that they have come out with, just wondering if anyone here owns and uses one and what do you think about it?

Thanks, getting to be crunch time and need to pick up something this week, going to be cheap compared to last years Christmas, so I am thrilled, but don't want to go buy a piece of crap thing that will sit in the pantry forever!

Had a similar item years ago. Sucked. Noisy and didn't do a good job cooking. Used it a dozen or so times then stuck it in the pantry until it was eventually given away.

Wife's friend has one and really likes it. Mine bought an electric pressure cooker and really likes it because it cooks things much faster.

The wife and I are retailers worst nightmare, we do not buy each other gifts for any holiday, nor much of anything else. If we want something we go get it and use the others money :D (we only have one credit card, that's the joke)

We have one. My bride loves it. She said she wishes they made a bigger one!
Ours says Kalorik on the front. I believe I picked it up at Home Depot on a whim. It cooks very fast and the stuff that comes out is great.
I did mess up one time though. Decided I wanted a "grilled cheese sandwich" put in two pieces of bread with cheese in the middle, after a few seconds I opened the drawer and the top piece of bread was gone!
The device blows superheated air on the food from the sides but there is a heating element above the food. The "wind" had lifted the top piece of bread up and it got stuck (and burned) on that upper element.
I pried it off and it came off clean (cauterized) so no harm done. Probably should use a toothpick to hold light weight items together.

Theres several makes and designs of air deep fryers.I have the Big Boss oil-less fryer and i use it often. As an experiment i wanted to see how much grease or oil would be in my body if i didnt use it so i didnt empty it for 2 months. There was over 2 inches of grease in the bottom of that 16 quart bowl!!! I like it others may not as in every method of cooking.https://www.walmart.com/reviews/product/20604790

I had chicken cooked in one, it was just OK. Nothing beats good ole' real oil... Sometimes it's worth the extra calories and fat. lol.

Obviously there will always be some new fandangle idea to cook foods. But as little fried food as we eat, I will forego such new products and simply use a fryer with oil if or when we decide to want fried things. I mean nobody is going to live forever anyways.

We have a brand new deep fryer, but it is a mess to use, so we were thinking that this would be a better way, cause we both love deep fried stuff! Probably more than we should, but the deep fryer gets used so little because of the prep and tear down that it does not get used often.

Thanks to everybody for the opinions, it was just exactly what I was looking for.
