looking for pertronix ignitor

wheres the best place to buy one, and is it worth converting my points over to this?? If anyone one could give me a part # i would greatly appreciate it.. thanks

Not sure you'll really gain much over properly adjusted points.

I thought they are still being made so you can get a new one, but if you do change from points there are modifications you have to make so the ESA will work with the electronic ignition. I still have points in my old 88 and not changing it because they work fine, just need maintenance like eveything else on the boat...

I can't justify the mod either... I guess if you can't adjust points it might be worth it.. If someone gave me one I might stick it on..

Worked on plenty of old Ford tractors in my day.. They all had points.. Just not too tough at all for me..I can get the dwell perfect almost everytime with just setting the point gap.. I have a awesome dwell meter..
I will run points till the boat pops or momma says I can have a new one..
I got better things to waste money on..
