Looking for replacement ideas for old 5.5/7.5 propeller shaft cap

I'm looking for replacement ideas for a buddy. His prop shaft cap is broken. It is the one that holds the drive pin in on the older 5.5/7.5's, part #303365. It's a soft rubber cap that pops on over the driveshaft. Has anyone created something to replace it? I assume a bolt and double nut would work but are there any other ideas? thx.

Stainless steel bolt and nylok nut. Not very pretty, but cheaper than replacing the shaft. Hm.m.m.m, that gives me an idea. Maybe I'll make some metal or plastic caps. As soon as I have some time, that is. Which won't be soon.

I'll take a look see and see if I have one. I have several 5.5 lower unit parts in a box.

I'm pretty sure those caps are available,go to www.aomci.org and ask around.

This may sound strange to you -- I have 4 pop nut caps part # 303365. Let me know if you still need one.

Geez, this was back in May. I don't even recall who I was looking for it for now! Sheez. Oh well, I do see that nymarine.ca has em for C$7.50 though.

i tried typing nymarine.ca in to see about the rubber cap but it's just paint and decals,,thats all i could find
