Hello again,

I posted before about my grandfather passing me, my boyhood boat to me. But this is what I found out in the last part of the year. The block is belled, or so the repair guy has told me. Complete rebuild. 3,000.00 is the bill, if he does the work. The motor books out at 850.00-950.00. EDIT

You should be able to find a good running 150 HP engine of that approximate age for around $1500 or so. If you used NADA to get a value for your engine, forget it, NADA's a joke. If you would prefer to swap powerheads a couple of possible sources would be bbcboards.net and screamandfly.com.

Thanks ill look into those two site and see what i can find. ****EDIT**** I kick my self now. When this boat still belonged to my grandfather, he in fact had a replacement power for that motor. He was in boat racing so thing like made there way to him. He got into the PWC's and was looking for room. so I told him, well (at the time my aunt) it runs get rid of the extra powerhead, to make room in the shop far new toys. BAD IDEA! 4 years later I get the boat, because my aunt wasn't using it. And the powerhead is shot. F.M.L.

I'm also from the st louis area. You need to watch craigs list. They have cheap motors in there all the time.
