loses gas

i have a 30hp 1998 yamaha outboard that looses its gas sometimes when i stop the motor and try to start it again ,it will start but within 5 seconds it will stop because it looses its gas , i give the primer bulb a few squeezes and it starts and stays running .ive checked everything for a leak and changed the primer bulb with 2 new bolbs but the same thing happens ,the carb has been checked out and cleaned but no change .

make sure your tank is venting. When you squeeze the bulb it should return to the normal condition quickly. If it hesitates your tank vent maybe clogged. Good luck. Otherwise, it sounds like your fuel pump maybe losing prime do to weak seals.

can i buy the seals or do i have to replace the fuel pump,
