Lower Gears

I believe I stripped my lower gearcase. Loud klunks turned into zero engagement of my clutch dog. Does this require a total rebuild of the lower case, or is there another repair option. Engine is a 1995 Evinrude 115. Also, would this have any trade in value if I repowered with a new engine. <br />Thank you

Logical trade in value would be the present value of the engine less whatever repairs or replacement might be pertaining to the lower unit.<br /><br />The lower unit would require a complete teardown to determine exactly what course of action is needed..... repair or replacement.
