Lower Unit Compatible Years

I have a 1974 and 1976 Johnson 135 OB motors. Both have bad powerheads, but good lower units. I want to sell the lower units but don't want to misrepresent what they will fit. I have been told that they will fit all 85-135 HP Johnson or Evinrude through 1985. <br /><br />Is this correct?<br /><br />Can anyone tell me if there are other compatible years or engine sizes they will fit? <br /><br />Also, what would be a fair price to get for them?<br />

Welcome!!<br /><br />Assuming they are 20" shafts they will fit;<br />1973 to 1976 V4's - 85, 115, 135 and <br />1977 85 & 115.<br /><br />Not the 1977 140.

Thanks Dhadley, <br />They are both 20" shafts, although this is kind of disappointing as I had hoped they would fit some newer engines making them more marketable.<br /><br />Any idea what price I should ask for them?

generally, if they are in good condition, no leaks, skeg still exists, no damage, ebay.com usually could fetch 100 to 150
