Lower unit gear lube pump adapter

I have a 9hp Evinrude outboard model E6RCUD. Which makes it a 1987 model year. The drain plugs have o rings not flat seals. my pump comes with the standard fitting (cheap pump bought at walmart) but the mechanic told me my plug threads are metric. All I can find on the internet are metric adapters for yamaha. Will these same adapters work for mine.

The threads on your plugs are 3/8-18. Not metric.

OK thanks, I'll just use the pump I have then.
