Honestly, if turning the crank doesn't work I think you need to move on to the door shim approach.

Dawgs, turn the motor upside down and drill a small hole in the mid section at the shaft /crank location and soak it down with alot of PB Blaster, need to get some penatrant in there let it soak, then wedge and tap with rubber mallet then spray then repeat.

wedges and or pry bars and hiting lower with a two pound mall with two by four
block may free it

ps search my post and you will see a loy of replys regarding stuck 150 lower
its hard to turn a 150 upside down

ok i tried the wedges but they were soft wood....im trying with hard wood wedges in the morning

hi dawg dont give up the wedges didnt work on mine although
i used them to create space when i strung mine up ,
i took a sawzaw to mine but after looking on ebay for a lower
the prices stopped me from cutting mine ,it took me at least a month to get mine off . and my lower came out looking like frankenlower bou with a seal kit and some 5200 it has kicked ***,
dont give up update us .

heres the update...had about 7 or 8 wedges in it....it still woudnt budge. so i dont think it ever will. buttoned it back up...replaced the thermostats and its running cool for now but eventually i am going to have to get to that impeller

Sounds like you'll need to flip it and run some penetrating oil down the shaft for a week or two.

Bummer.

how hard is it to remove the motor?

how hard is it to put back on?
