Okay, here goes. I had to move my boat yesterday, and during the move, a board holding the motor up came loose. (the trim is currently INOP). Luckily, I had someone following me. He noticed it, and signalled for me to pull over. I got the boat pulled over before the motor made contact with the ground. Not wanting this to happen again, I moved the motor up manually, blocked it off a little better, and was on my way. After getting home, I noticed oil coming out of what appears to be a speedo pickup port??? I've done some searching, but can't find a "tube" or anything like the other posts say. The oil is gear oil I think (grean, and clean). Any Ideas? I know this was a long post, and I appreciate your patience, and advice!!

Michael

Hi, the make model, and hp of your motor should always be included when asking for help.

The "pickup port" you describe, may be a drain hole. Can you describe exactly where it is located?

Has the motor been serviced recently?

Sorry about the lack of info on the motor. It's a 1989 Force 125. .... I was thinking it was a drain port as well, but I think it's above where the gearbox is???

Thanks,
Michael
