lower unit trouble

I have a 3.3 hp Mercury outboard, and would like to replace the impeller. I loosened two bolts on the lower unit, and thought it would drop down easily. It only goes down about an inch and then stops. Any ideas on how to get it completely out would be appreciated. thanks.

I can't remember where exactly, i think it's a small plate or plug that comes out of "midsection" and you can access the screw(or whatever) that hold the clip joining the two halves of the two piece shift rod....IF IF IF that's the motor i'm thinking of....

if you have an anode/trim tab, remove it from above and there is probably a bolt underneath

Thanks for the help! Once I found that bolt it came out very easily. Now... does anybody know what part I need or where I can find the part to replace the impeller and/or the water pump seals? After I get that, I should be ready for the water.
