Bruce I'm having a hard time trying to upload pics. I am using a iPad maybe that is the problem!

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,... The easiest way to post pictures is to post 'em on a photo hostin' site, 'n link 'em back to this thread,.....

The ls1 is a 350.
The LS2 is a 6.0
GM is making a mess with the L series engines.
There are probably over 20 variations of these engines

That is a 1993 OMC drive. I would be really careful with an OMC drive if you are going to have as much HP as you say you are going to have.

I don't even know if the bolt pattern of a 350 bellhousing is going to be the same as the 6.0. The coupler is another story.

You aren't planning on using this is salt water are you?

sorry for the confusion on the ls1 i just have always considered these ls1 based engines and referred to the steel blocks as ls1 but yal are right on the 5.7's.
the problem is finding the coupling to go from ls2 to omc cobra. if you could see the pic it would help. i have to have engine forward by 1.5 inches so the coupling will clear the transom plate because my adapter makes my coupling sit that 1.5 inches more to the rear than it sat in there stock. the coupling should now be sitting in the exact same spot that it was in with the stock motor. I have no doubt that my work will be reliable, safe, and hold up as far as my adapters and mounting points are concerned i just need to know if it is ok for my motor to lean down in front a bit if my alignment shaft goes in and out correctly. i might try to take next week to a marine shop to see what they think. one tech told me front of motor does not matter and another tech told me the back may need to come up a little then i would be able to tilt front of engine up some. been real busy here at my shop so i have not had time to try anything lately. soon as i figure this pic thing out we can all look together.

No salt water maybe going with closed cooling don't know yet. The bell housing for a 350 and ls2 are very similar just the 1 bolt u do not use on ls2 they didn't drill that hole for some reason. This is my first omc drive

I heard these omc Cobra are strong just shift issues if not set up properly. I will be using thru hull exhaust and a drive shower to help.
