so whats the deal exactly, apply the vaseline and let it sit or put it on and wipe it right off... in the sunlite or shade...

Yee Haa I glad you asked.

You want to apply vaseline during the day when sun is beating down on the hull. Rub it on with a cloth and let it sit in the sun for a couple hours. Just a thin coat will do it. Next take a shammy with micro fiber and wipe it down. Where gloves or it could be messy. Its best also if the Vaseline is warm to almost melted. I warmed the Jar in a pan hot water. Do not attempt to microwave.

Is this for everyone. No! There are anti vaseline folks out there.

Also my boat has been washed, waxed before doing the Vaseline treatment. I repeat the vaseline treatment once a month and only wax once a year. Be sure to always wash boat before applying vaseline.

A bonus is no water spots on the Hull.

Try for yourself. Doesn't hurt anything if you don't like it.

What's the benefit, just no water spots?

Re: Lubed up and Ready to go.

The benefit is a nice shiney boat with much lower cost of Wax, Compound polish, a buffer ect ect to get that kind of shine.

Also it took me about 30 minutes total time to apply vaseline and buff to a shine. Of course a bigger boat your time will increase.

A good wax job include compound waxing takes me a couple of hours but I only do that once a year.

A jar of vaseline cost $2.50,

The main advantage is that AZBoatDreamer gets to buy Vaseline by the case and now looks like Smiling Bob on those Enzyte commercials!!:D:D

Sorry buddy you deserved it!!:D

To each of thier Own. I dont have to kill myself waxing, buffing, polishing Ect.

Just got back from the Lake. Someone commented how nice my boat looked.

Another advantage is lower RPM, Less Gas, and more Speed because of the vaseline is making my boat faster :)

wax slows a boat hull down  ... Might be very, very little on a powerboat, but it doesn't make it go faster.

Maybe WAX does but Vaseline might be a different story.

Also this time around it was a Generic Brand instead of the Vaseline Brand and I couldn't tell the difference.
