Main battery fuses?

hi, id like to use a 50 or 60amp blade fuse to go between my battery and battery switch. i cant find any fuse holders that will handle a fuse that big, most have a 30 amp max. im looking for suggestions on how to handle this fuse setup. thanks alot, mark

I would recommend a breaker instead of a fuse. They are designed for the load and you just pop the breaker back in when you over load. No need to have a hand full of fuses or get stranded somewhere. Here are a couple choices:

You don't put fuses or breakers between your battery and battery switch.

Anything between your battery and starter on your motor is unfused. You need a fuse/breaker between your switch and all the other electrical loads though.
