Hi,

I have a 2007 DF140. I am due for my first 20 hour scheduled maintenance. The manual suggests that I have the dealer replace the oil filter for me. Is it that hard to do? I am no mechanic but I can change the oil in my cars. I figured it can't be much harder.

Thanks

I would take it to the dealer to avoid any risk of voiding warranty.

Re: Maintenance on DF140

the reason that they wanty you to bring it back to the suzuki dealer is that if something doesnt look like it should they might be able to correct the problem in an early stage.
metal filings/ sulfatic acid is the reason for an oil change. after 20hrs.
they will also reset he oil change reminder until the next 100 hours.
they also change the gearlube for the same reasons.

so like JB said bring it in to avoid later waranty problems.

and no its not hard to change the oil and filter on a DF140.

give me one reason you dont want to bring it in?
