major issues, please help out of ideas

1998 50 hp E50ESLECC Modle Just bought a month ago ran fine, started to bog done at high speed. changed gas tank (external, fresh fuel new tank) no help. changed plugs, no help, had timed and replaced timing cam, no help

now the only way to start oit is to hit it with starting fluid and she will get going and run ok. idlesa bit high now and then in gear all good again. folks this is intermitent. check out carbs, all good. looked at all vacuymm hoses no kinks or holes. new fuel filter, fresh ]gas etc...
dont have many gauges. my guess fuel pump???? oh yeah electric choke will click when key is down, no change when i move it to manual to flood engine,,,,,

starting to loose it. give me nyour best shot please.

like i said it might run great all day and BAM just dies and wont start without the ether. also cleand every wire connector on motor and changed fuel linrs, primer bulb and engine fuel connector

as alway thanks in advance for yout advice. ps new fuel pump, over $400...not happy...........

First, don't use starting fluid in your engine, no lube in it.
Bogging down at high speed, use a timing light to check spark under load, if OK check the high speed orifices in carbs. You can plumb in a "T" in the fuel line between the pump and the fuel manifold to check pump pressure. Since it runs at high speed I would think the fuel pressure is ok.
It almost sounds like the low speecircuitut in the carbs are restricted.
Unhook one of the hoses from the primer solenoid to a carb, push the key in and see if it is passing fuel.
