Something I saw once;<br />the fella' had a piece of vacuum line with caps on it to look like a coil wire. He replaced that with the real one when the boat sat where it could be started and taken away. I thought it was a good idea. You can hotwire a boat fairly easily so even a hidden ignition switch wouldn't help.

4 Cyl,<br />Your right it takes moree like 45 minutes to get to Sf unless you get stuck on the bridge then it could take 3 hours!!!<br />I wish I could help with the boat thing<br />Maybe a 10x25 storage unit??<br />They run about 120 a month though.

red hill road is considered the half way point between sac and sf by truckers and its 2 hrs pay by the post office for a trip to sac...any way cordilia is nice sory for the attitude i should have used smilly faces ,,,,,,,,it is a bow rider and im dicourged over so many attempts at it [ things on the inside ] so far and its obviously junky looking ...needs paint etc........ill probobly fit it out and pay for storage somewere safe......

I agree about looking into storage. I was born and raised in oakland and I can tell you you'll never get away from the petty thieves who'll rip your boat inside and out to get a five dollar item off your boat. My sister in laws car was broken into recently. They smashed the side window to steal a cheap cd holder. Pathetic. And most of them are prety stupid, so you never know what the fools might think are valuable.<br /><br /> And in california, if you rig your property to injure potential thieves your probably setting your self up for criminal charges and a civil lawsuit. I realize most the posts about that were in jest, but keep it in mind.

Best idea yet: move to Nevada, lots of jobs and cheap housing. ;)
