I am changing the cast iron exhast manifolds and risers to aluminum, they came with s/s bolts for the risers but none for the exhaust manifolds.
The question is do I use the same steel bolts over or do I buy new s/s ones ?
Almost forgot its a 5.7L 350c.i. Mercruiser.
Thanks !

I'm with Bond-o...

If the water gets that high in the boat, then you have bigger problems than whether the bolts will rust... :D

Re: Manifolds

Just throw a little anti-seize on the threads and you'll be good to go. Retighten the bolts after a few hous' run. Aluminum manifolds on a steel block can have some leakage problems due to the different coefficients of expansion of the two metals. Just check it regularly for signs of leakage. Hy
