Manual Question Again...

Hello again..i bought myself an old 1986 boat with a 2.3 merc. 4CLY. sterndrive.
got it cheap due to cracked block, it came with a replacement block.. and a missing upper housing , i have the lower part. the guy said its a OMC block and all the same.. i need to get a manual for this...What am i looking for please?

It's not a Merc, it's an OMC. The 2.3 is a Ford 4 cylinder engine. So you need an OMC manual, not a Merc manual.
Best to find an OEM manual, as the aftermarket manuals give little info.
There is a guy on Ebay that sells them.

There must be some kinder mistake...i have a bill that says..Make of Motor..Mercruiser: How can i tell for sure? what to look for? THX!

If it's actually a 2.3, then it's a Ford, and Mercruiser didn't use that engine at all, only OMC.
Maybe whoever made out the bill didn't have a clue.

Oh..by the way...i have the lower drive..the part that holds the prop.
and i see Mercury with some numbers written inside...
